Minor Report 2020

Our season started off in November 2019 with strength and conditioning training, with the help of Michael Day. The squad really enjoyed every minute of the training and it proved to be a great start to our season.

It was a short campaign, with only three games in the group stages of the Championship. We won all three matches vs Menlough, Cortoon Shamrocks and finally Milltown , with some great team performances and free flowing football which earned ourselves a place in the North Board Championship Final. We met Cortoon in the Final, but sadly it wasn’t to be on the day. After a rip roaring contest in which the teams shared 7 goals and over 30 points we fell just short of victory.

This squad of players has come on in leaps and bounds in the last number of years and I can see great days ahead for them.
A special mention to Sean Birmingham who made the Galway Minor squad in 2020.
And a big thank you to Ger Lee who came on board this year as coach.
