Our u14 group from 2006 + 2007 made great progress this year and the Club was in a strong position of being able to field two competitive teams at this grade.

We restarted the season in late June with 37 players on the panel and finished up in late September with 36/37 still attending on a regular basis. In between, the comraderie, skill level, fitness and confidence of the full panel grew beyond expectations.

The lads played Challenge games against Oranmore, Shrule/Glencorrib and Dunmore before the County Leagues began. The regular matches and shortened season were a real benefit to the group and gave the lads great focus.

Our Div 2 team enjoyed wins over Monivea-Abbey and Claregalway while playing some fantastic football, before a 1 point loss to Annaghdown left them in 2nd place in the group and facing an away Semi-Final.
They played a very strong Mountbellew-Moylough team in that Semi and after a stiring comeback in the last quarter, they eventually lost by 2 points to the hosts in a very exciting finish.

Our Div 5 team also enjoyed wins over Monivea-Abbey, Annaghdown and Corofin with a single loss to Tuam leaving us in second place in the group and an away Semi Final. The lads beat Barna in that Semi which left them facing a very strong Tuam team in the final.
The team absolutely rose to the occasion and as a collective played their best game of the season to win the final and finish the season on a real high for the whole group.

The Club would like to thank all the players and parents for their input and effort this year.

We would also like to thank the Coaches group of Eamonn Kenny, JJ Patterson, Micheal O Toole, Michael O Connor, Peter Gavin, James Mularkey and Tony O Reilly for giving their energy and committment to this group of young men. 🇧🇼
