Like many other groups it was a stop-start year for our U-10 boys. Training started in Claran Hall at the end of January where the boys really worked hard on their ball handling skills until the lockdown period in March.

The boys returned to the pitch in fine spirits at the start of July and we consistently had 16-20 boys for training every Thursday. It was great to see a couple of boys join the group who had never played the sport before but certainly didn’t look out of place.
A big thanks needs to be given at this point to all the parents for bringing the boys to training and matches, encouraging the boys at home and importantly for their patience and understanding with the Covid restrictions.
Even though the year was broken up we still got in some competitive games and want to thank Dunmore McHales, Kilkerrin/Clonberne, Milltown and Shrule/Glencorrib for hosting us. Thanks also to Killererin, Loughrea and Shrule for travelling to Headford. All games were played ingood spiritd and the lads learned something from every game.

We would have liked to host the Joyce Cup tournament this year but alas it was not to be with the Covid restrictions. Hopefully we will get a chance to have a small internal blitz at some stage in the next few months 🤞.
Thanks to our coaches Alan Patterson, JJ Patterson, John Minnock, Séamus McHugh and Mark Murphy for their time, effort and encouragement all year.
Finally and most importantly a big thanks to all the lads who togged out, trained hard and represented their community so well in games over the summer months. We wish you all the best and hope to see you all back in the Spring. Keep up the work at home and remember 5 minutes working on your skills every evening is worth an hour on the pitch.
